About this test
Which careers match what you actually like to do? This career test asks 24 questions about everyday activities, such as building something, researching a question, creating something, helping a person, leading a group or organizing a plan. Your answers point to one of six interest types and show ten example careers for it, plus a second profile worth a look.
The test uses the widely known idea of six interest types, but the questions, descriptions and examples are original. It is a starting point for thinking about careers, not professional career counseling or a psychological assessment.
The six interest types
Hands-On Builders like tools, machines and outdoor or practical work. Investigators like research, analysis and figuring out how things work. Creators like design, writing, music and ideas. Helpers like teaching, caring and working with people.
Leaders like persuading, selling and running projects, and Organizers like clear rules, numbers, records and well-run systems. Most people are a mix of two or three, which is why the result also shows a second profile.
What to do with your result
Use the job lists as examples, not as orders. Read what the work really involves, talk to someone who does it, and check the training you need. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook is a good place to start.
If you are still in school, try a class, a volunteer role or a job-shadowing day related to your top profile. A real hour of experience tells you more than any quiz.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a professional career assessment?
No. It is an entertainment and orientation quiz. For decisions about training or work, talk to a school counselor, a career adviser or someone who works in the field.
Where do the job titles and education levels come from?
They are examples based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook. Requirements and pay change, so check current information before you decide.
Why do I get a second profile?
Most people have more than one strong interest. The second profile shows what else could fit you.
Does the test show salaries?
No. Pay depends on location, employer and experience, so we leave it out.
Is this a scientific personality test?
No. It is a playful quiz made for entertainment. It is not a psychological assessment and cannot diagnose anything or replace advice from a professional.
How is my result worked out?
Each answer adds points to one or more result types. At the end the type with the most points is your result. Because it is a game, a different mood on a different day can give you a different answer.
Can I take it again?
Yes, as often as you like. Answer quickly and honestly for the most interesting result.
Does it cost anything?
No. You do not need an account or a sign-up.
Are my results saved?
Your answers stay in your browser. Only the share link you choose to send contains your result.
