About this test
This IQ test is a brain-teaser with 30 puzzles that get harder as you go. You continue number and letter series, complete word analogies, spot the odd one out, follow short logic chains, turn shapes in your head and solve a couple of word problems. The first puzzles take a quick look, the later ones reward a pencil and a bit of patience.
Please read this first: it is an entertainment test, not a standardized or clinical IQ test. Recognized tests are developed by psychologists, calibrated on large reference groups and taken under controlled conditions. A free online game cannot do that. Your result shows how you did on these 30 puzzles and nothing more, and it says nothing about your health or your abilities in general.
There is no timer, so there is no pressure. Take your time, read each puzzle twice, and use paper for the series and the shapes. At the end you get your score out of 30, a short plain-language verdict and an estimated range, which you can share with friends if you like.
How the estimated range works
Each puzzle has a difficulty weight from 1 to 5. Easy puzzles count a little, hard ones count more. Your weighted share of correct answers is converted into a rough range around 100, shown as a spread of about ten points. It is a playful way to read your score, not a measurement.
If you want to compare results, compare the raw score. Twenty correct answers out of 30 is easy to understand and does not pretend to be more precise than it is.
Tips for number series, shapes and logic
For number series, write down the gaps between neighbouring numbers. If the gaps are not constant, check whether they grow, double, or alternate between two patterns. For shapes, ask what changes from one picture to the next: a turn, a mirror, or a move.
For logic puzzles, decide first what must follow and what only sounds likely. If you get stuck, take the next question and come back later, or step back one question and change an answer.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a real IQ test?
No. It is an entertainment test. Recognized intelligence tests are developed by psychologists, standardized on large groups and taken under controlled conditions, which an online game cannot do. The estimated range is for fun and has no medical or diagnostic meaning.
How is the estimated range worked out?
Every puzzle has a difficulty weight, and harder puzzles count for more. Your weighted share of correct answers is turned into a rough range around 100. It only reflects how you did on these 30 puzzles.
Is there a time limit?
No. Take your time, use paper if you like, and go back to the previous question if you want to change your mind.
Can I improve my score with practice?
Yes, for puzzle types like these. Spotting patterns in number series or shapes gets faster with practice. That says nothing about your intelligence overall.
Does it cost anything?
No. You do not need an account or a sign-up.
Are my results saved?
Your answers stay in your browser. Only the share link you choose to send contains your score.
