About this quiz

Bar trivia is all about teams, a round of drinks and a few friendly arguments. This set has 30 multiple-choice questions in six rounds of five: fun facts, music, sports, movies, food and drink, and a pub quiz mix. Questions in each round go from easy to tricky.

Play it right here on your screen, or print the sheet and run your own trivia night at a bar, at home or at a party. The answer key prints on its own page so the quiz master can keep it hidden. Press the New set button for a different quiz whenever you like.

Bar trivia vs. pub quiz

The two terms are used almost interchangeably. Both mean teams answering rounds of questions at a table. This page leans on pop culture, sports and food, while the Printable Pub Quiz page mixes in history, nature and geography.

Pick one for the evening or use both: they are built from different rounds, so you can run a full night of ten or twelve rounds.

Ideas for hosting

Give each team a pen and one printed sheet, read the questions out loud and collect the sheets after every round. A short break after round three keeps the room fresh.

If a team disputes an answer, let the quiz master decide and move on. The goal is a good evening, not a perfect scoreboard.
