About this quiz

This printable pub quiz has 30 multiple-choice questions split into six rounds of five: general knowledge, history, animals and nature, sports, movies and music, and geography. Each round starts with an easy question and gets a little harder, so every team has something to chew on.

You can play straight away in the game above, one question at a time. To run a quiz night instead, use the question sheet further down. Each round prints on its own page with a spot for the team name and score, and the answer key lands on a separate last page so you can hand out the questions and keep the answers. If you want a different quiz, press the button for a new set.

How to run a pub quiz night with this sheet

Print one copy of the question sheet per team and one copy of the answer key for the quiz master. Teams pick a name, write it at the top of each page and circle or write down a letter for every question.

Read each round out loud, give the teams a minute or two, then collect the pages and swap them between teams for marking. The quiz master reads the answers from the key, and each team adds up its score for the round. Add the six round scores for the final total.

Tips for a smoother quiz

Keep rounds short. Five questions per round leaves time for marking and a drink between rounds. If the room is large, read each question twice.

For a tie, ask one extra closest-guess question, such as how many questions in the whole quiz had the answer C. Whoever is nearest wins. If you want a looser party feel, skip the marking and just play for fun.
